I enjoyed Frank's Pizza as a kid back in the 70's and get it almost every time I get back to Du Bois.
I am from out of town and heard great things about franks pizza. When I called to order my food, the lady was very rude and short. When we arrived to pick up the pizza, we were told that we had to pay with cash only. We were never told that over the phone. The lady behind the counter was the same lady that answered the phone and was very rude to my husband as well. The pizza itself was ok but nothing that I will come back for.
I know Frank's has changed ownership a few times over the years but, thankfully, the new owners continue to use the same recipe! The day they change recipes is when I'll start patronizing all the other "me too" pizza parlours in town.
Great place, consistently drive out of my way to stop by. Only downfall is they don't open until 4
It doesn't taste like every other pizza shop's pizza. Maybe that's why I, like many other people who have moved away get it when we get back in town.
