My mom and I enjoyed our unique dining experience in the 50's style Diner Car (a renovated 1950's Pullman Standard passenger car). I had the Soft Shell Crab Po' Boy sandwich and she had the Lobster Bisque. Both were quite tasty.

A fun place for the kids...big kids too. Certainly a lot of entertainment for them while adults visit with each other and enjoy watching kids have fun.

Morgan, our waitress, shared some history about the car and graciously snapped a few photos of mom and I sitting in our seats.

Two cars that caught my attention were the newly acquired Barnum and Bailey Circus cars sitting up on the hillside. When the circus closed down in early 2017, Dr. Rice jumped at the opportunity to add these cars to his collection. It will be interesting to see what he has in store for them.

Not to mention that this is the best fast food restaurant and everything is homemade great ice cream if you're on your way to Penn State you must stop there train enthusiasts will love this place there's a dining car to Anna Pullman that serves a fancy dinner

Also on the grounds is Doolittle's Roadside Cafe. Judging by the number of people getting ice cream at the walk-up windows, I'd guess it must be pretty good. Unfortunately, I was too full from my meal that I didn't try the ice cream. I guess I'll save that for my next visit to Du Bois!

Best hamburger around. The food.is awesome and priced that a family can go out and enjoy without going broke. Love Dr. Dolittle's.

For a more upscale meal, you might want to eat in the vintage, 1913 Parlor Car. Although we didn't eat in that car, we took a quick walk-through and marveled at the beautiful restoration of this antique marvel.

Oh my, what a treasure! Great menu choices, not especially speedy, but, a great value and good food. Has some flavors of hard ice cream from Penn State Creamery, on a very diverse list of choices. Two, two-scoups of ice cream priced at

A local doctor, Jeffrey Rice, has a hobby of collecting FULL SCALE train cars and refurbishing them into mini restaurants, a railroad museum, a place for an overnight stay and more. He calls his growing collection "The Depot at Doolittle's" - an 1880's B&O replica rail depot.
