Took a Toyota Tacoma in for alternator. Mechanic "HACKED" off the skid plate so bad it couldn't be welded back on. Plus in no service manual says a skid plate removal is required to replace a alternator... establishment charged me over $700 dollars for this malpractice. Just saying an aluminum oil pan with no skid plate guarding it does not last long in Pennsylvania. A Toyota dealership wouldn't charge $700.... DO NOT GO HERE!!
Thank you to the team of DuBois Auto Repair. On our annual holiday cross-country trip, our car all but threw a tire rim. Brian received my panicked call with a professional air; listened as I described what had happened; diagnosed the repair and had the parts available when AAA delivered us to the shop. The car was in the bay immediately and within 2 hours we were back on the road. The mechanic in charge of the repair was careful, making a suggestion we felt safer with. He then checked all the other tires before left. The cost for the repair was more than fair. Thank you gentlemen.
